[Heise News] Digital Sovereignty: Germany and France Support Private 5G Campus Networks

The two EU states are investing a total of 17.7 million euros in private 5G networks, which will be used to test wirelessly networked operating rooms, for example.

Germany and France have announced the winners in a competition with which the two neighboring countries want to “advance the European ecosystem for private networks in the field of 5G telecommunications” with innovative solutions. The four winners will receive a total of 17.7 million euros for the realization of their project proposals in the field of campus networks.
